Sunshine Coast Regional District chief administrative officer has left effective March 14; Angie Legault appointed as acting chief administrative officer

The Sunshine Coast Regional District Board of Directors has announced that chief administrative officer Janet Loveys has left the SCRD effective March 14.
“This was a mutually agreeable departure and we wish her well in her future endeavours and thank her for het dedicated service to the Sunshine Coast Regional District,” the statement said. “Please be advised that the Board has appointed Angie Legault as acting chief administrative officer effective immediately.” Legault was senior manager of administration and legislative services / corporate officer with the regional district.
On March 15, the city of Brockville, Ontario announced the hiring of Janette Loveys as city manager. “Ms. Loveys prides herself on her ethical and collaborative leadership style and is a practitioner in meaningful community consultation and engagement,” the statement read. “We are thrilled to have found what we believe is the ideal person to lead the next chapter in our beautiful city’s development”.
Loveys will start with the City of Brockville between mid to late May.
The SCRD appointed Loveys as chief administrative officer in September 2015 after joining the regional district in June that year as general manager of community services.
SCRD chair Lori Pratt said she is not at liberty to discuss the terms of Loveys’ departure.
